About
I am an Italian-American Photographer, Artist and Writer who is a citizen of both the U.S. and Italy.
My photographic career started in 1975 after purchasing my first 35mm film camera, which I still have to this day. I opened my first studio in Atlanta, in 1982, then I moved on to various locations around the United States.
I never really called myself a commercial photographer because I did not like being told how to create a photograph, so I pretty much took photos of what I liked. The most inspiring place I lived was Savannah, Georgia. The least was Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
Now that I have reached retirement age, I find myself seeking more artistic subject matter. I love architecture, but mosty the elements, not the entire structure.
As an Italian citizen I hope to travel more often to Italy and explore all the small villages and countryside, staying away from the tourist hotspots, which I have already visited and have no desire to do so again. The rest of Europe is also on my list.
As far as my artwork, I usually make paintings from photographs I have taken. I do create original works, mostly abstracts and I consider myself a fair "copyist" when it comes to reproducing works of notable artist that I keep for myself.
I do not take commission, however I do make reproductions of my original work, on occasion, for sale to commercial Interior Designers.
